프로젝트 배경
This project was implemented for a commercial smart agriculture park in Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea, covering 12 connected polycarbonate greenhouses and 8 hectares of open farmland for high-value melon, strawberry and leafy vegetable cultivation. The park previously relied on urban weather station data 15km away and manual experience for daily irrigation, ventilation and pest control, resulting in large microclimate data deviation, inaccurate irrigation scheduling, frequent high-humidity crop diseases and unstable yield. It therefore deployed a localized multi-point micro-meteorological monitoring network with Model XF802 8-in-1 컴팩트 초음파 기상 관측소 to support precision facility agriculture management.

On-site Installation Process & Equipment Configuration
Our technicians handled the on-site installation step by step: they first laid out 6 monitoring points according to the greenhouse orientation and farmland distribution, then secured the stainless steel mounting poles to the greenhouse steel frames or ground concrete bases. They mounted each Model XF802 8-in-1 Compact Ultrasonic Weather Station on top of the pole, adjusted the north alignment and level, then tightened all bolts firmly. Next they ran the signal cables down along the pole, hooked them up to the IP65 waterproof junction box, and sealed all cable joints to keep moisture out. At the final stage, they powered on every unit for commissioning, checked that all 8 meteorological parameters uploaded in real time, and finished the data connection with the park’s smart agriculture platform.

프로젝트 운영 성능
- Stable operation: All 6 units have run without failure since May 2026, surviving 38°C high temperature, heavy rain and typhoon winds. Data integrity reaches 99.8%; no moving parts avoid wind cup jamming and rain gauge clogging.
- Accurate microclimate data: 10-second upload captures 3-5°C temperature gap, 15-20% humidity gap and light attenuation under greenhouse film, replacing biased data from the 15km-away urban station for ventilation and irrigation control.
- Water and pesticide saving: Real-time temperature, humidity and light data optimized irrigation and ventilation, cutting water use by 18%, high-humidity crop disease by 22%, and corresponding pesticide consumption.
- Low maintenance: The integrated design needs only quarterly surface cleaning, cutting on-site inspection and maintenance workload by over 60% compared with manual monitoring and traditional split weather stations.
- Scalable integration: Data connects to the smart agriculture platform for mobile viewing, threshold alarms and historical export. The park will add 4 more units and soil sensors in the second-phase expansion.
