parte do equipamento padr\u00e3o de todas as esta\u00e7\u00f5es de monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Part\u00edculas em suspens\u00e3o: PM\u2082.\u2085 (part\u00edculas finas, com di\u00e2metro \u2264 2,5 micr\u00f3metros), PM\u2081\u2080 (part\u00edculas inal\u00e1veis, com di\u00e2metro \u2264 10 micr\u00f3metros); alguns dispositivos podem ser adaptados para medir PM\u2081 e TSP (part\u00edculas totais em suspens\u00e3o)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poluentes gasosos: di\u00f3xido de enxofre (SO\u2082), di\u00f3xido de azoto (NO\u2082), mon\u00f3xido de carbono (CO), ozono (O\u2083); tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 poss\u00edvel medir os \u00f3xidos de azoto (NO_x)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Part\u00edculas finas (PM\u2082.\u2085)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refere-se a part\u00edculas finas em suspens\u00e3o com um di\u00e2metro aerodin\u00e2mico \u2264 2,5 micr\u00f3metros, sendo o principal poluente associado ao smog e o mais amplamente reconhecido pelo p\u00fablico. As suas fontes s\u00e3o extremamente diversas; as emiss\u00f5es industriais, os gases de escape dos ve\u00edculos, as part\u00edculas provenientes da combust\u00e3o do carv\u00e3o, a queima de res\u00edduos agr\u00edcolas e a forma\u00e7\u00e3o secund\u00e1ria de part\u00edculas contribuem todas para o PM\u2082.\u2085. Devido ao seu tamanho extremamente pequeno, elevada reatividade, longo tempo de suspens\u00e3o e capacidade de percorrer longas dist\u00e2ncias, estas part\u00edculas n\u00e3o s\u00f3 reduzem diretamente a visibilidade atmosf\u00e9rica e causam neblina, mas, mais criticamente, podem penetrar no trato respirat\u00f3rio, atingir os alv\u00e9olos e entrar na corrente sangu\u00ednea. A exposi\u00e7\u00e3o a longo prazo pode conduzir a doen\u00e7as cardiovasculares e pulmonares, representando uma amea\u00e7a significativa para a sa\u00fade humana e tornando o PM\u2082.\u2085 uma prioridade m\u00e1xima na monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da qualidade do ar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Part\u00edculas em suspens\u00e3o (PM\u2081\u2080)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Refere-se a part\u00edculas com um di\u00e2metro aerodin\u00e2mico \u226410 micr\u00f3metros. Composto principalmente por part\u00edculas grossas, serve como um indicador-chave da polui\u00e7\u00e3o por poeira urbana. As suas principais fontes incluem poeira rodovi\u00e1ria, poeira de obras, opera\u00e7\u00f5es mineiras, areia transportada pelo vento e poeira industrial. Em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o PM\u2082.\u2085, as part\u00edculas de PM\u2081\u2080 s\u00e3o de maior dimens\u00e3o e permanecem principalmente no trato respirat\u00f3rio superior. A inala\u00e7\u00e3o prolongada pode causar faringite, tosse e inflama\u00e7\u00e3o das vias respirat\u00f3rias. Al\u00e9m disso, concentra\u00e7\u00f5es elevadas de PM\u2081\u2080 reduzem significativamente a transpar\u00eancia do ar, causando neblina que afeta diretamente a qualidade visual do ambiente urbano e a visibilidade durante as desloca\u00e7\u00f5es di\u00e1rias. Serve como base principal de monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o para o controlo do p\u00f3 urbano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Di\u00f3xido de enxofre (SO\u2082)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um poluente industrial gasoso t\u00edpico, \u00e9 um dos principais indicadores utilizados para medir a polui\u00e7\u00e3o causada pelos gases de escape industriais. As suas principais fontes de emiss\u00e3o concentram-se em atividades industriais como a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia t\u00e9rmica, a combust\u00e3o de carv\u00e3o, a fundi\u00e7\u00e3o de metais e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica, sendo que uma pequena parte prov\u00e9m da queima de carv\u00e3o em habita\u00e7\u00f5es. O di\u00f3xido de enxofre \u00e9 altamente irritante; a exposi\u00e7\u00e3o prolongada pode danificar as membranas mucosas do trato respirat\u00f3rio e desencadear doen\u00e7as respirat\u00f3rias como bronquite, asma e enfisema. Na atmosfera, o di\u00f3xido de enxofre sofre oxida\u00e7\u00e3o, formando sulfatos, que s\u00e3o os principais respons\u00e1veis pela chuva \u00e1cida e pelo smog. Corrode edif\u00edcios, danifica a vegeta\u00e7\u00e3o e acidifica o solo e as massas de \u00e1gua, causando danos sustentados aos ecossistemas. Como tal, \u00e9 um poluente priorit\u00e1rio a controlar nas cidades industriais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Di\u00f3xido de azoto (NO\u2082)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trata-se, essencialmente, de um poluente gasoso gerado por processos de combust\u00e3o, sendo que a sua principal fonte nas \u00e1reas urbanas s\u00e3o as emiss\u00f5es dos gases de escape dos ve\u00edculos motorizados. Al\u00e9m disso, a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de energia t\u00e9rmica, as caldeiras industriais e os gases de combust\u00e3o de equipamentos que queimam combust\u00edveis tamb\u00e9m produzem grandes quantidades de di\u00f3xido de azoto. Este poluente \u00e9 altamente irritante e causa danos significativos aos pulm\u00f5es e ao trato respirat\u00f3rio; crian\u00e7as, idosos e indiv\u00edduos com doen\u00e7as respirat\u00f3rias s\u00e3o particularmente sens\u00edveis a ele. Al\u00e9m disso, o di\u00f3xido de azoto \u00e9 um precursor fundamental das rea\u00e7\u00f5es fotoqu\u00edmicas atmosf\u00e9ricas. Sob a luz solar, contribui facilmente para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de poluentes secund\u00e1rios, como o ozono, desencadeando o smog fotoqu\u00edmico e agravando a complexa polui\u00e7\u00e3o atmosf\u00e9rica urbana. Como tal, serve como um indicador de monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o cr\u00edtico para a polui\u00e7\u00e3o do tr\u00e1fego urbano e a polui\u00e7\u00e3o proveniente da combust\u00e3o industrial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mon\u00f3xido de carbono (CO)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um poluente gasoso t\u00f3xico, incolor, inodoro e n\u00e3o irritante, produzido principalmente pela combust\u00e3o incompleta de subst\u00e2ncias que cont\u00eam carbono. Nas \u00e1reas urbanas, as principais fontes de emiss\u00f5es incluem os gases de escape dos ve\u00edculos, a combust\u00e3o do carv\u00e3o e os gases de escape dos fornos industriais. O mon\u00f3xido de carbono tem uma forte afinidade com o corpo humano e liga-se facilmente \u00e0 hemoglobina no sangue, deslocando o oxig\u00e9nio dos seus locais de liga\u00e7\u00e3o. Isto reduz a capacidade do sangue de transportar oxig\u00e9nio, levando a sintomas como tonturas, fadiga e hipoxia. A exposi\u00e7\u00e3o a concentra\u00e7\u00f5es elevadas pode causar intoxica\u00e7\u00e3o e, em casos graves, ser fatal. Este par\u00e2metro reflete com precis\u00e3o a extens\u00e3o da polui\u00e7\u00e3o por combust\u00e3o e gases de escape nas \u00e1reas urbanas e \u00e9 um indicador de monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o de rotina indispens\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ozono (O\u2083)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O ozono troposf\u00e9rico \u00e9 um poluente atmosf\u00e9rico secund\u00e1rio t\u00edpico que n\u00e3o \u00e9 produzido por emiss\u00f5es diretas. Em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de altas temperaturas no ver\u00e3o e luz solar intensa, os \u00f3xidos de azoto e os compostos org\u00e2nicos vol\u00e1teis presentes na atmosfera sofrem rea\u00e7\u00f5es fotoqu\u00edmicas complexas que d\u00e3o origem ao ozono; por isso, a polui\u00e7\u00e3o por ozono \u00e9 mais frequente durante as tardes de ver\u00e3o e outono. Altas concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de ozono troposf\u00e9rico irritam fortemente as membranas mucosas dos olhos, nariz e garganta, danificam o trato respirat\u00f3rio e o tecido pulmonar e causam desconforto.
