Contexte du projet
A modern agricultural demonstration base grows leafy vegetables in multi‑span film greenhouses. Traditionally, manual collection of key micro‑environment parameters including temperature, humidity, light intensity and soil moisture produced delayed, discontinuous data. Without real‑time greenhouse insights, the site suffered crop diseases from sharp temperature‑humidity swings, yield losses from poor light control, and high labor costs that blocked data‑driven planting. To solve these issues, the base deployed the Greenhouse Weather Station portable tripod weather station. Selected for its on‑site LED display, stable 4G remote transmission, foundation‑free tripod mounting and cross‑greenhouse reusability, the system guides ventilation, shading and water‑fertilizer management to reduce labor, lower disease risks and improve vegetable quality and yield.

Processus d'installation sur site et configuration des équipements
During this greenhouse monitoring project, we installed the monitoring station in an open area between planting ridges to avoid interference from crop shading and water dripping. Based on the actual site conditions, the radiation-shielded sensor was mounted on a horizontal cantilever at a height of 1.5–1.8 m above the ground, following agrometeorological installation requirements and preventing direct radiation interference from the greenhouse film.
After completing the hardware installation, we positioned the LED display at an easy-to-view height for daily field operation, while the control box was securely fixed to the middle section of the tripod with all cable connections properly waterproofed. We then completed system configuration, including measurement parameters, data upload intervals, and cloud platform access for both PC and mobile terminals. The entire installation and commissioning process was completed within half a day without any modifications to the existing greenhouse structure, allowing the monitoring system to be quickly integrated into daily agricultural management.
The greenhouse environmental monitoring system was equipped with the following components:
- Multi-Parameter Environmental Sensor with Radiation Shield: Integrated monitoring of air temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, and atmospheric pressure, with optional CO₂ measurement.
- IP-Rated Data Logger Enclosure: Supports RS485 communication, 4G remote data transmission, and historical data storage for continuous environmental monitoring.
- Outdoor LED Display: Provides real-time display of greenhouse environmental parameters for convenient on-site checking.
- High-Strength Aluminum Tripod Assembly: Includes tripod base, main pole, horizontal cantilever, clamps, and mounting accessories, enabling flexible installation without concrete foundation.
- Shielded Signal Cables and Power Supply System: Ensures stable connections between sensors, data logger, and display units with waterproof protection and 220V AC power supply.
Optional Expansion Modules:
- Soil Temperature and Humidity Integrated Sensor: Supports soil condition monitoring for crop growth analysis.
- RY-CGH Capteur de rayonnement photosynthétique: Measures photosynthetically active radiation for evaluating plant light conditions.
- CO₂ Monitoring Module: Enables additional carbon dioxide monitoring for greenhouse environment management.



Performance opérationnelle du projet
After system commissioning, the greenhouse environmental monitoring station began providing continuous data support for daily crop management. The on-site LED display allowed operators to directly view current environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light intensity, helping them make timely adjustments to ventilation and shading based on actual greenhouse conditions.
The 4G communication function enabled remote access to real-time measurements and historical data through PC and mobile terminals. This allowed managers to review environmental changes throughout different crop growth stages, compare data trends, and better understand how greenhouse conditions influenced daily management requirements.
During operation, the collected environmental data supported more accurate agricultural decisions. Temperature and humidity records provided references for ventilation management, while light intensity monitoring helped evaluate shading adjustments under different weather conditions. Compared with manual observation, continuous data recording provided a more reliable basis for reviewing greenhouse environmental changes.
The monitoring system maintained stable operation under high-humidity greenhouse conditions and routine agricultural activities such as pesticide spraying. The tripod-based installation structure also allowed flexible relocation when greenhouse layouts or planting schedules changed. In addition, exported monitoring data could be used for planting records, project documentation, and long-term analysis of greenhouse environmental conditions.

The on-site LED display was especially practical for field workers, allowing them to check current conditions directly without relying on computers or mobile devices.
