Project Background
The orchard covers approximately 35 hectares and specializes in early- and mid-season peach varieties for fresh market distribution. During previous seasons, the farm experienced:

- Over-irrigation due to lack of real-time evapotranspiration data
- Increased risk of fungal diseases after unmonitored rainfall events
- Difficulty optimizing pesticide spraying windows
The farm manager needed a reliable, all-in-one weather monitoring solution that could operate continuously in outdoor orchard conditions without complex installation.

Based on the customer’s requirements, we recommended the HCD6816 Small Weather Sensor Station. This device integrates six key environmental parameters into a single unit, capable of measuring air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed (third-generation ultrasonic), wind direction (third-generation ultrasonic), atmospheric pressure, and optical rainfall. This compact, low-power device supports simple pole mounting, making it particularly suitable for orchard deployment without interfering with tree rows or irrigation systems.

The Micro Weather Station was mounted at a standardized height to ensure accurate wind and temperature readings above the tree canopy level. Data was transmitted to the farm’s monitoring platform in real time via wireless communication. Installation was completed within half a day, requiring no complex calibration.
